Graduate Diploma in Public Relations

With almost two decades of experience, Emma has a wide range of skills in both the B2B and B2C mar-comms disciplines, with a key focus on engineering and technology. She brings a mix of corporate communications, media relations, public affairs, product marketing, e-commerce and digital marketing experience to the agency. 

Beginning her career in the United Kingdom, she has worked both in-house – including as the UK PR & Communications Manager for Robert Bosch, and press officer for a charitable organisation - and agency side with international clients such as The Duke of Edinburgh Award, National Instruments, Saint Gobain, and Eaton Corporation.

Emma also lived in France for six years, where she worked as a freelancer for companies worldwide that needed support with their digital marketing. This gave her the opportunity to develop skills in social media management and digital content creation.

Having returned to New Zealand in early 2020, Emma has joined HMC in 2023 from the PR & Communications team at Gallagher Security, where she was responsible for implementing a significant lift in the public relations and media relations activity of the company across their UK/Europe, Australia and IMEA (India, Middle East and Africa) regions. 

Emma trained as a journalist, achieving a Bachelor of Media Arts (Communication) from the Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec), and then continued her studies, gaining a Graduate Diploma in Public Relations. 

Emma lives with her young daughter in Hamilton East, and when not working, you can find them enjoying time in local nature spots.
